It sounds like I need to get another Worldpoints Rewards credit card in order to transfer the points to cash and I cannot just transfer the points to my BofA checking or my SO's cash rewards credit card, right? Does the second Worldpoints Rewards card have to be a business card? Is there a definitive list of cards I can apply for in order to transfer TR points to cash?

Not sure what you are doing here.
The BofA multipliers only apply to Cash Rewards, Travel Rewards and Preferred Reward cards. The cash rewards cards early cash directly. Both travel rewards and preferred rewards earn the same points. You can transfer between those account. BofA point is worth 1c. You can redeem as cash or as statement credit. Or redeem gift cards. All at 1c each point.
BofA reward card are the most easy to use. All have cash value, no transfer.
