We are booked in Q class on an AA codeshare operated by TN next summer PPT-LAX.
TN has cancelled the flight on the day we are booked (28th).
AA protected us on the 30th.
I called AA and asked why we couldn't be protected on the 29th - the next day.
They informed me their codeshare on the 29th doesn't have Q class and since it is not true AA or Oneworld the same booking class has to be available.
A refund is possible buy not an upsell for a booking code within the same cabin.
Does this seem logical?
