I saw some WeChatPay decal at shop windows at Woodbury end of 2019.
Every purchase by DW was a financial analysis over cashback/extended warranty on the AMEX or the coupon discount with UnionPay.
Sales clerks were equally surprised by a customer using UnionPay and speak English without and Putonghua accent.
