I purchased macbook pro from Apple store in Jul. Last week I experienced the issue with its screen and it does not lit up anymore. It appears to be pixel damage issue and might need screen repair or replacement. I identified the issue on 83rd day after original purchase date but have not been able to go to Apple store for repair due to other personal issues. Now it has been more than 90 days.

Since the laptop is not covered under Apple care, I will probably need AMEX help to repair. Can someone please let me know if this repair would be covered under purchase protection or extended warranty? THanks
