Charters are an important part of Alliance's business, but more for the mining sector than anything, from what I can tell. For the leisure sector, unlike elsewhere in the developed world, leisure charters don't seem to be a feature of the Australian mass tourism market. IIRC their have been charter for more specific types of travel (eg. ABX for ski-ing, KNX ). I guess Australians are a pretty independent lot when it comes to travelling in their own country, and most of the holiday destinations are very well served by scheduled flights which can be sold as part of packages anyway (OOL, MCY, CNS, HTI, BNK. ASP, AYQ, HBA in summer, DRW/BME etc). Before COVID killed it, JQ was even about to launch a MEL-BQB flight.
