I was attending the very limited Day of the Dead Celebrations in Morelia so drove from there. However, you could fly into PVR and catch an Uber from there for around 600MXN - around $25USD. Not sure how easy it is to get a driver who is willing to take you that far. From memory, actual hotel transfers were very pricey.
