As a Singapore originating pax, I am not sure I like this so much. It might be somewhat irrational, but feel quite happy to be segregated from people who are originating from further afield (such as places where there are >10,000 active cases per million population). I guess (if I don't get bumped) my booked travel is to SYD and therefore with Australian caps in place, there should be only about 1 in 10 economy seats occupied. Unless the Australian government do with SG what they've done with NZ (no quarantine, flights with pax only originating in that country), in which case transit pax won't be an issue.
