that was when C was only an upgrade class. In that case, it would have earned whatever the underlying coach fare would have earned (hence the 25/50/100%)

From my understanding, AA is now using C for upgrades, but also offering C as a paid discount business fare (my situation)

Paid C class "should" earn the same as I or R discounted business, IMO.

I am hopeful that AA and BA's IT can sort it out (LOL)

On a semi-related note, AA uses J class for both Full Fare Business, and it's special (reduced) miles award. BA's computer can tell the difference, as I have flown on both and received credit when it was paid J, and (properly) did not receive credit when it was a miles ticket.
