I usually fly out of ONT but a half dozen or so times a year I'm forced to fly out of LAX. Since I fly DL almost exclusively, I fly out of T-5. Fortunately that's a dedicated DL terminal and one that is relatively slow-paced by LAX standards.
To make things even better for DL FC and Elite pax, there's usually a dedicated security line that limits the wait to less than five minutes even at peak periods.
The biggest hassle at LAX is just getting TO the TSA security checkpoint. Once I get through the lengthy DL check-in process and the inevitable line to drop off suitcases for inspection, everything else is thankfully downhill.
