Oh I see... I don't have kids so this never came up, but I just checked a Hyatt all-inclusive that I'm going to next month (Hyatt Ziva Cancun), and if you select any kids or more than 2 adults, the room rate increases (as you'd expect), but points bookings become unavailable (which is even more restrictive than this Hilton issue). I would have thought you'd be able to effectively pay the additional guest fees in cash or points at the time of booking, but I guess that isn't the norm.
