What would be even worse than that lady saving seats for her friends is putting her stuff on the seat just 'cause she wants it empty. Especially in the exit row.
My question is: is it poor etiquette on a fairly empty flight (where you know everyone can get an aisle or window seat) to try and keep the middle empty when you're in the front few rows? How about on a flight with 30-40 people, trying to keep all 3 seats to yourself?
