Never been on a plane that almost crashed, but I did witness the restored Boeing S-307 go down in Elliott bay in Seattle in 2002. My office was about 2 blocks from where it went down. It was scary watching it going down. Seconds after it happened there was probably about 100 people running to the spot.
Scared the people in the nearby restaruant to death!
