While there will always be cases where the PL is not such a good deal (I have never seen it being a worse deal!), I just did not agree with an implication in your previous comments that such things happen "often". Otherwise, I agree with you. There are some cases where a paid stay makes sense and there are cases when PL makes sense so there is no reason to always pick one or the other. What I am having difficulty with is in justifying the paid stays over PL in enough numbers to reach elite status in any of these programs. The only thing that is keeping me there is the corporate paid stays that don't allow for PL stays.
