I still think it would be far better to stay somewhere within a 5 minute walk to a central metro station than 15 minutes, it just gives you more options. The only Hiltons like that are the DT Sirkeci and Old Town - both are rated below the top 100 on TripAdvisor.
Regarding noise at Curio, it's just sad that they didn't consider upgrading the windows when they refurbished the hotel, it's a single sliding window without any special noise insulation.
There was just far less of the being shouted at and being followed to get you into a restaurant on every corner in other areas - Sultanahmet was really bad for that and it's just not fun having that for 6 days even at 11pm at night when you are exhausted and go back to your hotel.
