Update
Thanks, everyone, for your input.
BF and I took Friday off and drove to Provincetown ahead of our hosts. Lunch at Clem and Ursie's is a trip - outlandish circa 1970's décor; you order from the counter and the food is brought to your table. Standard fish shack menu as well as some pretty sophisticated entrees. I'd go back for lunch or appetizers, but for dinner it's a bit too casual for my taste. We noted the market and Connie's Bakery on the way out, and returned on Sunday for groceries to prepare dinner at home. Great quality seafood and baked goods.
Then we checked out the other restaurants listed above. Since I planned to pick up the check, I wanted to look at menus. Martin House, Ross' Grill, Mews, and Chester's all looked great, but I could see a tab of at least $300 at any of them. So I decided on Café Edwige.
Then, on the way back to the house in Wellfleet, we passed Terra Luna in Truro. Would never have given it a second look had it not been for the recommendation here, but based on the character of the place from the outside, (a great indicator of restaurant quality, I know) and the review above, made a reservation for Saturday evening.
Absolutely wonderful. The artichoke dip truly is addictive, and each of the four entrees was excellent. Dinner for four, with drinks, a bottle of wine, along with shared appetizers and desserts, came to about $50.00 per person, before tip.
Terra Luna closes for the season on Columbus Day, but I'd highly recommend it for next year.
