It will be interesting to see how Whistler manages through the ski season during COVID. I absolutely hate gondolas at the best of times, and much prefer to ride open chairlifts (I'm lazy, and don't like to take my skis off, and once out in the cold, I like to stay that way). But now with COVID, just the thought of riding in an enclosed gondola (even with windows locked open) with other passengers gives me shivers! Whistler has really invested heavily in gondola capacity to get skiers out of the villages and onto the upper mountain. I don't know if they have plans to restrict occupants of a single gondola to only those in a common household, which would be safer, but wouldn't help the already crazy lines that W-B often has, compared to other large resorts.

With my Ikon Pass, I think this year, I will stick to Tremblant and Lake Louise where avoiding gondolas is easy, and perhaps forget about Banff Sunshine and Revelstoke, which are also included in my pass but dependent on their gondolas.
