I appreciate all the replies...it does seem that perhaps IHG isn't the right fit for me so getting the card wouldn't be particularly worthwhile. Their footprint is definitely huge but the higher-end properties are few and far between it seems. I think I'll probably just stick with what I have and hope Chase releases a new card next year to fill that slot. Thanks!
