It appears that the Hilton Budapest (the one next to the Nyugati train station) is joining IHG. The list of hotels in the 'Budapest' search now includes one called "Plaza Hotel" (not Crowne Plaza), with a February opening. If you go to the Hilton website, it still lists the hotel, but with a "coming soon" banner.
IHG Website quotes an opening date of January 22, 2021. Hilton website informs that hotel is closing its operations as Hilton starting Oktober 31, 2020.
There is no mentioning Plaza Hotel and it might be that the hotel is changing to one of the other brand, for e.g. Indigo or Kimpton besides Crown Plaza. Following recent developments with sudden appearances of new hotel venues it could also be that this hotel will be a Voco hotel. Wait & see , I should say
