Well, given the fact that plane substitution happens, sticking a flight number with a specific plane type (beyond the sUA/sCO scheduling issue) seems a bit excessive. All flights on this route from now through January are all on 787-9.

Perhaps they are reverting to PMCO flight numbering because of limited number of transoceanic flights?
