DCA texts me every flight. Once they met me at the gate too. Another time they met me at the B/C shuttle door with a breakfast bag from the club.
Other airports, nada, except a text once from ORD. Maybe SNA felt like being more invasive. Not sure what the point of calling you at the gate is. Maybe it's the thought that counts.
