For many years now I have a small multi-tool that is an everyday carry item. After the blade restrictions I started checking it, now I've found a similar one with no blades that is once again a carry on item. It often gets looked at by TSA to ensure it doesn't have a blade but always flies.

Note that it does not carry-on in China--they prohibit all tools. Fortunately we were able to mail to to one of her relatives.
