New property opening in December and I couldn't find an existing thread. I've been checking periodically and noticed today rates are finally loaded. Will be a Category 5 and the rates seem reasonable; for example, next Memorial Day weekend in the high $200s compared to much higher on the oceanfront.
My wife, son, and I were at First Landing State Park two weeks ago and walked down to this hotel to check it out - it looked like they were doing the final touches. It looks like all rooms should have balconies, and nearly all rooms should have bay views (maybe some of the lowest levels won't have clear views). Personally, I'm really excited for this hotel - the waves are much calmer on the Bay, thus better for young kids; the water warmer; and away from all the crowds of the oceanfront. One drawback I do see is the beach is relatively narrow by this hotel, but if you walk up towards First Landing there is much more room. This is a reflag of something, not sure what it was before. Will be very interested to hear any reviews after it opens.
