It did not include a statement about the amount of GST included in the total price as is required by law in Australia if GST is included. On a Tax Invoice from the same TA in the same format for a QF domestic flight, there is an additional line under the total that reads:

From my study of tax law, I can tell you that all INTERNTAIONAL airfares are GST exempt. But don't know whether you can entitle to a input tax credit (for registered entities).
Anyway, the difference in price (ex BKK) is pretty big! But to get to BKK, i guess you have to pay around 4000AUD for a return ticket, so unfortunately this won't work as well as the European countries.
I think I will still stick with the 8900AUD far e(well will be 9400AUD by the time I finalise and pay)
