That all being said, if Delta declares bankruptcy they won't be the first ones, I would suspect either AA, UA, B6, or WN would first.
More importantly, the regionals have no training programs, ETOPS programs (767 operations aren't going to all be domestic), certificates/authorizations to fly international routes, etc. Regional can't simply just decide to start flying mainline aircraft and routes without going through many steps.
