I would talk to UA (or write to them) and attempt to obtain something of value from UA. Whether that's an open ticket to Maui or a gesture of some UA miles I'm not sure.
You could also try the feedback form with TK. Somebody in Istanbul could easily decide to just comp you the 60k miles. I've received a similar gesture from an IRROPs situation so it can definitely be done if approved by someone with authority. (who you will only reach by using the feedback form and letting M&S do their thing behind the scenes) Make sure you write in a very clear and concise manner, so that it is properly understood.
I just sent another feedback note to TK. Here is what I said. If this doesn't work I guess I can try calling United again.On 21 November 2019, I used 30,000 Miles & Smiles points to book 2 roundtrips tickets on United from ORD to OGG, departing in March 2020. The booking reference number is XXXXXX. Due to the Covid situation, the ticket was canceled. For some reason, some of the flights were endorsed over to United, so that some of the ticket numbers are now United (016XXXXXXXX92/93) and some are Turkish (235XXXXXXXX29/30). Because of this discrepancy, I have been unable to get the Turkish ticket office at ORD to refund my miles. I have tried calling United, and they say they cannot do anything about it.
I am requesting that you make a manual deposit of 30,000 miles into my Miles & Smile account XXXXXXXXX. I have made numerous efforts to try and get the actual ticket refunded without success--I've tried this help desk before, I've tried emailing multiple ticket offices, I've tried visiting the ORD ticket office in person, I've tweeted at Miles & Smiles, and I have called United. Nothing has worked, and I am very frustrated. I realize this is a strange situation, and I do not understand how the ticket got partially endorsed over to United as I had no contact with them.
Please elevate this to a supervisor level so this problem can be fixed by depositing the 30,000 miles in my account. I am willing to lose the taxes/fees I paid on the flight. I just want the miles back.
