AC Hotel by Marriott Istanbul Macka [Master Thread]

A quick one nighter was all I needed to forgo this place (was planning on a week or two due the cheap price 58 Euro.

A quick xray of the bags and into the very small check in area. I was proactively upgraded to a Jr suite which was nice of them but I feel I was duped as I was led into what seemed to be a regular room with an attached living area but not what the site shows as their suite. I didn't say anything as its just a quick night.

The interesting thing was the placement of the vent which was located on the desk facing up. The vent stretched the length of the desk but had a black filter blocking most of the the airflow. This resulted in the room not cooling down one bit and staying at around 23C-24C. At around 7pm I called down to see if they could send someone up. About 15 min later I went downstairs to see what's going on they said "Oh the tech never came? Ill call again". Another 10 mins later and I return downstairs for them to inform me that it's a problem with their system outside. I return to my room and about 1 hour later I realize I really won't be able to sleep later on so I request a room change. They show me what is now very apparently a suite but the vent was in the same spot on a desk and this desk was far from the bed. It was at this point I realized that I would lift up the vent and let the air go through unfiltered but at a higher rate. Knowing the room I was currently in was smaller and will cool down quicker as well with the bed close to the desk (where the vent is). For this reason alone (some other reviews are saying the same thing) I would not return.

The bar/restaurant was larger than I thought it would be with a small outdoor seating in the back couples with a library and the general bar area.

Still having trouble with some photos not uploading.
