took the window seat
On a LAX to BOS flight, a family gambled and took a aisle and window seat. The flight was full so I was stuck in the middle seat. The family asked if I would switch to a window. I ask politely if I could have the aisle and they said they would prefer the aisle and middle seat. I saw no reason not to be accommodating.
