Or I'll simply use my judgement as a former licensed aircraft engineer for the 737 Classic generation and take into account that Boeing have had a mandated grounding on safety reasons for the their last TWO new jets in the last 8 years? If that doesn't tell you something about the utter systemic failure of their internal safety culture, what would?
I don’t doubt the failures of their internal safety culture. The question here is is the updated version of the MAX safe enough? If the EASA say it is I’m inclined to think that it is. The MAX was a failure on Boeing’s part. The jet has been fixed, the training has been enforced and updated. I am comfortable on a MAX is is. That’s my personal preference I know...but like I think Boeing will continue to make the necessary changes to turn their reputation around. Boeing has been exposed like very few companies have, the certification process of new jets is going to change significantly and that’s a good thing. I don’t discount Boeing’s crimes but I’m just also trying to look ahead
