First off, regardless of what you booked, you should track your rental for lower rates by gong to autoslash.com/track or clicking on the tab labeled Track a rental for price drops from our homepage. Prices do often drop as the pickup date approaches, so it's worth using this free service so you'll be notified if a better deal comes along.

Second, there may actually a fairly simple solution to your problem. Can you stay in the Charlotte area the night you fly in and pick up the following morning off-airport in the city of Charlotte? If so, we can get the price down to $765 for you. We've sent an updated quote with this option via email.

If you're not planning on staying in Charlotte the first night, try doing a 1-day one-way rental to wherever you will be during the day on 10/26 and then price a one-way rental from there to CHS as it's likely to be much less expensive that what you were looking at.
