Bigger issue IMO than bags on way there, bags on way back. Drug rings have more than once put drugs in passengers suitcases. After unloading the bag handler either outright steals the bag, or is supposed to take the drugs out and send bag on to be claimed by passenger. However more than once the drugs weren't taken out, nor was bag stolen. Instead for whatever reason the bag slips through and come out on belt for passenger to claim. They then get caught with drugs going through customs. This isn't a one or twice off thing, it's happened multiple times. I now place a plastic security tag (like what DL puts on food and beverage carts before landing on international flights) on my lock. Even if they have more tags, the number will be different thus I'll know if it waa opened.
