For those times when I'm too miles-strapped to afford an UG into J's reclining seats, I'll elevate my feet with my steel-toed workboots, flipped on their sides, with some success. Sometimes, when the seats in front of me are unoccupied, I'll rest my feet in the crevice in between the seats.
A shopping bag stuffed with thick magazines works for me
