I think this type of bathroom design is a conspiracy to force friends/coworkers traveling together to get their own rooms in order to make more money for the hotel
It's not so bad if it's frosted, but I've seen a hotel or two where it's just plain glass.
I havent worked anywhere where work colleagues have ever been expected to share a room, so don't see that too likely
