How did I earn A-List with just Credit Card Spend?
I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing here. I just got an email that I earned A-List Status, but I've only earned via credit card spend. I thought that wasn't possible? Even with the bonus TQPs this year.
I use a card for work and have lots of spend because of that -- I hit Companion Pass status around June, I think, without any signup bonuses this year or anything -- just spend (and using the portal for extra points at places like Dell, for example).
You need 35,000 TQPs for A-List, right? They gave everyone 15,000 TQPs because of Covid. But then I thought that the limit you could earn with a credit card was 15,000 TQPs (because they give 1,500 TQPs per $10,000 spend with a $100,000 spend limit).
Even if I met that spend (and I don't think I did yet even!), wouldn't that be 30,000 total TQPs?
What am I missing?
Also, with the new website design, I'm not sure where to go to try to see a list of all of my TQPs so that I could figure this out directly.
Let me know where I should look or if I'm just missing something in the totals somewhere. It seems to me that it shouldn't be possible to reach the 35,000 TQPs without some actual ticket buying (which I never do -- I've been flying exclusively on points for like the past 10 years and still have 400,000+ currently).
Thanks!
