2.5 hrs is plenty of time (assuming on time arrival...). I have been delayed by as much as an hour just trying to clear immigration in GRU but that was during boom times and even then it was an outlier. My guess these days is immigration + bag retrieval + customs will take 25 min plus another 25 to transfer terminals.
