I wish I could remember the names of the two nightclubs that we (my ex and I) visited during Christmas time in 2002. One was on a FRI - the other SAT night.

THe one on Saturday was in central Rome and was fantastic -- great club space and about a 70 gay/30 straight mix. Very friendly and attractive crowd and great music. The place was the place to be -- it seemed. I will never remember the name, but it had an outdoor area and then a two indoor dance floor rooms. I think the weirdest thing that we remember that night was people (4 times!) were trying to put "e" in our mouths unsolicited (and free) -- but, spit them out each time -- very weird and Ive never seen that anywhere else in the world.

On FRI, we went to a club that was outside of central Rome and was a big dancefloor/warehouse type club with 2 rooms and dark room. The place was fun, but nothing overly special. The best part of that evening was the last couple of hours was the usual club music turned into Roman folk songs, etc that everyone would sing along to -- that part was kinda cute.

Wish I could remember those names -- they may not even be around after 2 years, but I thought the Saturday club was very good and shows that Rome does have some sort of nightlife at that time of year. There was also some bar near the Coliseum/Palatine -- I think called "Hangar" and that was fun also for a bar.
