Been discussed before several times.
Some OW airlines have partners outside of OW.
AA has Etihad EY, TN, China Southern CZ, FJ and others.
Emirates has ff partnerships with Alaska Airlines and Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas and S7 Airlines (4 out of 13 OW airlines).
AS already has 6 (out of 13) OW airlines (AA, BA, CX, QF, AY, JL) as ff partners. And LA a former OW airline.
To think/imagine/hope AS will change ff partners just because of joining OW is not being realistic.
