I have to get a COVID test for entry into the Maldives so I'll be doing that before I depart, will a neg COVID test help with any transit issues at Changi? Really wanted to explore what is supposed to be an awesome airport but it's not looking that way.
Any other things I need to think about or consider?
I would only start reviewing requirements in January. You might find by the time we get to February, the situation has changed, so I wouldn't plan too hard. Coming from the US, and seeing how cases are going at present, you
may not even be allowed to transit.
Current rules are that you have to stick to a designated area. You can't currently wander freely. There is a premium transit lounge for those travelling in premium classes.
Terminal 2 is shut (as is the separate Terminal 4), so there's not a lot to do there in any case. You can't go to Jewel as that is land side, and you would need to serve a 14 day quarantine!
