I also like the Sheraton Royal Orchid. Stayed at the Grande Sukhumvit a couple of weeks ago and didn't like it nearly as much as the RO, probably because I prefer the riverside location.

I arrived at RO at 8am a few years ago and had to wait a couple of hours for a room. I had no status with SPG.
