I stayed at the St. Regis Istanbul and the Ritz Carlton Istanbul. I'd say the St. Regis is in more of a "touristy" area, and was overall a nicer hotel. Both were very nice though and I definitely was recognized at both. I had a very inexpensive upgrade to a club level room at the RC, which was definitely worth it. Frankly, there was no reason to ever go anywhere for meals if you didn't want to.
Did you manage to walk out anywhere? The hotel is very cheap for what it is (same price as JW, which I believe still has construction and no lounge) but it feels like a small bother (more so than the Gezi which is basically at the bottom of the hill, a 4 min walk). I'm thinking about a longer week stay but I'm not sure if I would just feel trapped in this tower as it seems like a pain to get out. Thanks in advance.
