that seems like a very specific and hard-to-manage scenario. not saying it is or isn't the case, just that we're constantly told that credits are the same as buying a ticket with cash so why should it matter
To be on one PNR everything must be the same for both passengers. Forms of payment get split equally between all passengers regardless of if that was intent.
