I dropped this into the October Cancellation thread, but thought I’d bring it up here too...
The new MBJ Montego Bay route from LGW got canned this week. I was due to fly Oct 31, returning Nov 3.

Getting this rebooked (I need to be in MoBay that weekend) was not straight forward. At first BA wouldn’t rebook me via Miami. The first rebooking offered meant going LHR - ORD (overnight) - DFW - MBJ. I rejected that. I was then offered LHR-ORD (overnight) MIA-MBJ. But why can’t you fly me on BA direct to MIA!??? I had 2 agents who couldn’t figure this out. Another HUCA. My third call finally hit an agent on his game, and we worked it through. It also helped that this time I had all the flights and flight numbers lined up, which I read out to him and he was able to make the booking via MIA. I still have to overnight in Miami on the outbound, but that works, as I have a house there.

The alternative offer was the KIN flight, but no offer to get me to MBJ, effectively a re-route to a new destination, which I also rejected.

Sad that the MBJ flights got dumped. I hope they can resume soon, but not holding out much hope in the current climate.
