As for Ansett, place the blame on News Corp. They sucked all the cash out of it, then flipped the husk to Air NZ when they saw the writing on the wall.
Then Air NZ sucked all the remaining blood by swapping the almost time expired components to Ansett and those with reasonable life remaining to Air NZ.
