Tweeted with the Hyatt concierge asking about an opening date or more info on this hotel; they don't have much to say, but the opening is planned for March 1st, 2021. The few photos I've seen from the inauguration and elsewhere show that the resort has been built and furnished in most if not all spaces, but they've done next to zero landscaping - and this being a spread-out property, it looks downright barren to see strings of single-story buildings with nothing but dirt between them.

Hopefully COVID will abate by then and Oman reopens its borders, because this hotel has already been delayed plenty and there really isn't a local market that can support properties of this caliber.
