Yes, nothing has changed for premium cabins ( Premium Economy, Business & First ). Seat selection is still free, even for non-status passengers

This is a shame, but considering QF charges it’s own elites for exit row seats (even short haul domestic), it was always strange that I got this for free on AA.
Although not a oneworld member, TK does the same thing; charge for exit-row seats for their own top-tier elites.
