Hi everybody - I have some reservations coming up where my plans have changed. There are two reservations - one points and one points & money - where I need to leave a day earlier than what's on the reservation.

Instead of cancelling, rebooking, and paying more points since the rates went up, can I check out a day early and get the points and money refunded to me? I called Hilton and the hotels directly and got mixed messages. It sounds like this could be possible on the points reservation but maybe not the points & money. What's your experience with this situation? Thanks!
