My assumption is that the extended warranty covers the same things as covered by the manufacturers warranty (use of the phrase "extend the manufacturer's warranty" in the Protection Benefits booklet suggests this.)

Anyone have any experience as to whether the extended warranty covers physical damage (e.g., damaged laptop screen) if it is covered by the original warranty purchased from the manufacturer? Seems like it should, but looking for people's experience with this.
