Firstly it depends when you made the booking.

Secondly, the refund would be 100% if BA cancel any of your legs, so best to leave it until they do, but if you can't wait then the refund option is as you have described.

For the FTV - if you are entitled to one and you may not be - would remove your current flights from the booking, but keep it still alive. It's not really a voucher, it's a storage device. So your Avios, cash and companion voucher stay open but stored for a new booking up to April 2022. You can just leave it until the situation improves rather than make a "maybe" booking. But when you are ready BA can dig out the booking and use the stored cash, Avios and companion voucher on another redemption of your choice, to any redemption locaiton, and on any redemption airline. not just BA (though the voucher needs BA metal). It can be of a lower or higher value that your original booking, a lower value will get refunded to you.
