The tube is also quite tediously slow - it's a looooooong way out there on the Piccadilly line, especially when stressing about whether you have allowed enough time for the vagaries of London Underground.

As for actually paying your own money for 1st on the HEX - you've got to be kidding. Standard class is never overcrowded (in my experience anyway), the seats are comfy, there's BBC news to while away that interminable 15 minute ride... and it's already expensive enough!
