Stayed two nights on points this weekend. Property was booked full, so no upgrade from the base "Valley Oaks Studio," It's actually a pretty nice room, with great outdoors space, but the Studios are all on the lower floor and there can be lots of noise transmission through the ceiling. I would really try to get a room on the upper floor here. After starting in the Valley Oaks section (2 series) we wound up in the Bluff Suites (3 series) which are higher up the hill and in a less densely built area (and which we much preferred).

The place was totally overrun with families, and we avoided the Lodge and River Ranch areas as much as possible. Otherwise, a really pleasant stay. The rooms are well appointed, location is beautiful, and the property is very well run. There are even hiking trails on property, which connect up to the broader network through the local hills.

Had dinner through room service both nights (note that local options are pretty limited after 8 pm or so). The poke was amazing, as was an apple galette we had for dessert the second night. The only off note was the undisclosed 22% room service delivery charge, on top of a $4 service charge.

All in all, a really nice stay and a fantastic bargain at 18,750 points per night. Definitely planning to return.
