I've had all together 15 bookings with cancelled flights with airBaltic so far (had a lot of bookings for the spring/summer/autumn period). I've had no problems with refunds, other that in the beginning it took a long time to get them. They seem to be faster now. Most of the refund requests I've made online, only the last two (MAD December flights) I've requested by phone as the flights were upgraded with vouchers and I couldn't see the changes online after the cancellation.
For me at least, they've sent flight disruption emails, no problem with that either.
